Outrageous Injustice

Genarlow Wilson, Honor Student and Football Star, Had Consensual Sex with a Fellow Teenager, What Happened to Him Next was a Crime
There is a cardboard box in Genarlow Wilson's old bedroom. It rests on the floor of his empty closet, near the deflated football and basketball. It's filled with things he needed in his old life. Mostly, it's overflowing with recruiting letters, from schools big and small. A "Good luck on the SAT" postcard from the coaches at Columbia. From another Ivy League college, Brown, a note from the football coach: "You have been recommended to me as one of the top scholar-athletes in your area."  [more]

While attending Auburn University, Gaither joined Auburn's "Plainsmen." While planning the trip with his friends, Gaither determined to get his group on a taping of his favorite show. After sending a letter to the show, the producers invited Gaither and his companions to attend a recording of "  [more]

Anything Is Possible

For someone who stood just 5-3 as a sophomore in high school, Rod Hood has come a long way. From his days as a young boy growing up in Columbus, Georgia, through high school and college, and now with the Cardinals, Hood has overcome the odds to prove, in his words, that “…anything is possible.” Most recently, that “anything” is the five-year contract he signed with the Cardinals in March as one of the top free agent cornerbacks available this off-season after four impressive years with t  [more]
